Durarara!! Episode 6 Impressions

Episode 6 was enjoyable as expected, thanks to the otaku crew. What we find out about them came as a surprise even if I had a hunch about it. Maybe because they do a pretty good job at screwing with our heads with so many things at once. And I believe, those who do stick around until all the pieces have come together will be greatly rewarded towards the end. But it's scheduled for 24 episodes so we still have ways to go.

So we find out from the get-go that the otaku crew are actually... in Dollars. Kadota is also known as "Dotachin". One of the cutest moments in this episode was Dotachin blushing, along with Selty watching some type of alien TV show on the couch.

If Erika and Walker asks you to "pick a manga", DO NOT because your life depends on it. The above titles are (from top of the stack to bottom): Dokuro-chan, Ro-Kyu-Bu, LadyXButler, and Accel World -- all in relation to Dengeki Bunko.

As you can see, Togusa is an idol otaku. He is overwhelmed by the live performance of Ruri Hijiribe a.k.a. Hatsune Miku (voice actor: Saki Fujita).

Izaya getting chased by Shizu-chan was adorable. Shizu-chan must have stolen that elephant slide from a nearby kindergarten school, which he threw at Izaya but missed. Episode 6 also provided some clue, albeit not much, about Seiji's sister and her "operation". It's probably safe to assume that her operation involves kidnapping random citizens and using their body parts. For what purpose, I have no idea, only speculation.

Oh, and we can't forget Simon: "Don't worry our sushi is made of fish. Even on 50% off days, we don't serve humans in our dishes."

The preview for episode 7 is titled "Strongest Man Alive". Ohhhh yes! ^^

Kanra: And when they disappear, they're never heard of again.
Taro: Is this really true?
Kanra: There's a scarier rumor out there too.
Kanra: The reason why the people are never found is because
Kanra: the Dollars dispose of their bodies somewhere and eat them.
