This episode laid out tons of stuff for the supposed last episode: it is revealed that Noel was somehow responsible for the infamous Invisible Reaper incident that wiped out many people, including Michio's mother. The Romanian(?) girl soldier the crew took into care subtly mentioned many things such as the skeletal remain Kanata saw in EP1, Fire Maidens, and some type of apocalypse. I said "supposed last episode" because while the actual season will end at episode 12, there will be a bonus episode following it on the DVD/BD release. I just hope this supposed 'bonus episode' isn't something that will be required, do you know what I mean? Regardless, the last episode can go in any direction and I am looking forward to it!
