So-Ra-No-Wo-To (ソ・ラ・ノ・ヲ・ト) Episode 8 Impressions

SNAPSHOT OF THE EPISODE

Ehe.. ^^; I certainly wasn't expecting this type of follow up to episode 7. Are they trying to raise their DVD/BD pre-orders by catering to the otaku crowd? One thing I have to give them credit for...
is their unpredictability. They certainly know how to throw a curve ball. I guess anything is possible in this series and I'm anxiously waiting to see how they will end this mysterious series.

Rio knife @ Slice of Leisure
I think my favorite character of SoraWoto has to be Rio. She seems strong and it pretty much confirms that she is somehow related Princess Iriya Arcadia, as we saw her name on the music book that she gave to Kanata in this episode. We also find out that Rio is serious about combat regardless of the location, even in the kitchen. Putting too much power into her cooking and adding special ingredients such as pieces of wood from the cutting board.

Kanata Soranowoto @ Slice of Leisure
Magical-girl version of Kanata? During her phone watching duty, that priest, Mishio, and Seiya comes over for some apple cider. Kanata drank cider like it was a frat party. Bad move because she eventually has to go to the bathroom while nobody is around and she doesn't want to miss the phone call. So what do you do then?

Kanata bucket @ Slice of Leisure
The apple cider bottle won't work because the opening is too small and it can be messy (well, unless you have a funnel or something). She looks around and sees a bucket. Perfect! Go for it! She almost went for it but then Rio returns and she rushes to the bathroom... and bumps into Noel and falls down. Noel likes sleeping in the bathroom it seems. Anyway, at which point Kanata couldn't get up and probably already went on the floor. ^^; I guess the director is still fascinated by Elfen Lied and the theme of girls peeing on themselves. XD

Moral of the story? When nature calls, just say mercy and answer it. This is why potty training is very important.
